ARTIST’S PHILOSOPHY
I look beyond what I see and explore the full range of human emotions. As a sculptor I try to give life to the inanimate. I love to play with clay. As I squeeze the wet red clay between my fingers, drops of moisture appear in a burgundy stream across the palm of my hand. Moments later the magic begins.
My interest in photography began less than a decade ago, after I already established myself as a sculptor and painter. I bring a sculptor’s sensibility to my photographic work, looking beneath the surface at the complexities of texture and form. Following in the footsteps of British romantics like Julia Margaret Cameron I like to play with focus, to blur the edges, imbuing my Images with ambient spirituality.
